BERLIN, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's golf team was able to get 27 holes of golf in over the weekend at the Titan Spring Math Play Event held at Mascoutin Country Club.

On Saturday, UWSP fell to UW-La Crosse, 4-1. Bree Downie (Hortonville, Wis./Hortonville) won her match 2 & 1. Andrea Tietz (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) fell 4 & 3 and Ashlee Hattori (Hartford, Wis./Hartford) dropped a decision, 5 & 4.
 
On Sunday, the event was shortened to nine holes due the weather and UWSP prevailed with a 4-1 win over Marian.
 
Hattori and Jenny Marshall (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton) both won, 2 & 1. Tietz won her match 1UP. Kate Downie (Hortonville, WIs./Hortonville) earned a win, 4 & 2.
 
UWSP will travel to Janesville on Friday (April 21) for the opening round of the UW-Whitewater Spring Invite. The first round tees off at 1:00 p.m.
