EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team won at least one game in seven of the nine matchups in a 7-0 loss to Cardinal Stritch by NAIA rules.
In doubles play, UWSP's duo of
Chloe Leithold (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) and
Maya Kunze (Stevens Point, Wis./Pacelli) won two games at No. 2.
Jordan Scharf (Wauwatosa, Wis./West) and
Grace Henes (McFarland, Wis./McFarland) also won two games at No. 3 doubles.
Tristin Jantz (Salem, Wis./Westosha Central) and
Barbara Covek (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) won one game at No. 1 doubles.
Covek won six games at No. 3 singles, falling 6-4, 6-2. Leithold won four games, two in each set, at No. 5 singles.
Kunze won a game in each set at No. 4 singles. Jantz won one game at No. 1 singles.
UWSP will play again on April 1 with a 9:00 a.m. match at Luther.
