BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UW-Stevens Point women's 4x400-meter relay team took ninth in the final event of the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Following a protest of the preliminaries of the 4x400-meter relay, nine teams were allowed to race in the finals on Saturday. UWSP's team of Brooke Wellhausen (Williams Bay, Wis./Big Foot), Ashley Bartelt (Hartford, Wis./Hartford Union), Anetha Vogele (Necedah, Wis./Necedah) and Mackenzie Johnson (Cumberland, Wis./Cumberland) clocked a time of 3:55.96, good for ninth.
 
The Pointers will begin the outdoor season on April 1 at the Pioneer Open in Platteville.
