OSHKOSH, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point track and field teams headed to the UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge on Saturday for the final tune-up for next week's WIAC Championships. The men finished fifth out of 10 teams while the women were eight out of 13 teams.

Paige Allemann (Waumandee, Wis./Cochrane-Fountain City) had the best individual finish on the day taking second in the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:25.79.
Shelby Klobucar (La Crosse, Wis./Logan) took third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.66, a mere 0.09 seconds ahead of the next finisher.
Madeline Zirbel (De Pere, Wis./De Pere) also finished in third place in the high jump. She cleared 1.57 meters (5' 3.75").
In the 200-meter dash,
Anetha Vogele (Necedah, Wis./Necedah) placed eighth out of 56 finishers. Her time of 26.77 was less than a second behind the event winner.
For the men,
Logan Lutz (Greendale, Wis./Greendale) took third in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:54.87.
Eric East (Chilton, Wis./Chilton) came in fourth in the mile run with a time of 4:31.00.
Ian Klein (New Berlin, Wis./West) also placed fourth in the high jump clearing the bar at 1.91 meters (6' 3.25").
Austin Rennhack (Columbus, Wis./Columbus) finished fifth in the shot put with a distance of 15.24 meters (50' 0.00").
Chris Kalies (Grafton, Wis./Grafton) took sixth in the 400-meter dash with a time 50.75.
Trevor Howe (Viroqua, Wis./Viroqua) was a seventh-place finisher in the pole vault with a height of 4.32 meters (14' 2.00").
Caleb Carter (Lisle, Ill./Lisle) was eighth in the long jump with a leap of 6.61 meters (21' 8.25").
The Pointers travel to Menomonie for the WIAC Championships beginning on Friday (Feb. 24) at 11:30 a.m.
