DE PERE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (7-9-1) finished the non-conference schedule with a 3-1 win at St. Norbert (9-7-3) on Sunday afternoon.
Madison Culli (Arlington Heights, Ill./Prospect) scored her second goal of the weekend to get the Pointers on the board in the 19th minute. Her unassisted goal stood as UWSP led 1-0 at the half.
Elena Rojas (Milwaukee, Wis./Whitefish Bay) doubled the lead in the 64th minute. Her eventual match-winner was assisted by Culli.
Two minutes later,
Gabby Dunn (Dallas, Texas/Bishop Lynch) pushed the lead to 3-0 on her league-lead-tying eighth goal of the season.
Cass Klitzke (Reedsburg, Wis./Reedsburg Area) picked up the assist on the tally.
The Green Knights spoiled the shutout bid in the 76th minute to complete the scoring.
UWSP goalkeeper
Jessica Nigbur (Shakopee, Minn./Shakopee) made eight saves in 75 minutes of action.
Anna Tuuri (Marion, Iowa/Marion) had one save in the final 15 minutes of action. Two SNC goalkeepers made one save each.
The Pointers wrap up the regular season at home on Saturday (Oct. 28) with a 1:00 p.m. match against UW-La Crosse at Point Soccer Bowl.
