RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team finished the regular season with a 9-0 victory at UW-River Falls in league play.
Quinlyn Mack (Prairie Du Sac, Wis./Sauk Prairie) and
Chloe Leithold (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) rolled to an 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles. The duo also won their singles matches by identical 6-3, 6-0 finals.
Tristin Jantz (Salem, Wis./Westosha Central) and
Jordan Scharf (Wauwatosa, Wis./West) took an 8-2 win at no. 1 doubles.
Grace Henes (McFarland, Wis./McFarland) and
Brooklynn Steier (West De Pere, Wis./West De Pere) won at No. 3 doubles by the same 8-2 score.
Steier had the easiest time at No. 5 singles, winning 6-1, 6-0. Scharf won at No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-1. At No. 6 singles, Henes prevailed with a 6-2, 6-1 final. Jantz took the No. 1 singles by a 6-2, 6-2 final.
The Pointers will now travel to Madison for the WIAC Championships beginning on Saturday (Oct. 21) at 1:00 p.m.
