WHITERWATER, Wis. – A night after a home victory, the UW-Stevens Point men's wrestling team trekked to UW-Whitewater where the Pointers lost 37-6.
 
Luca Paladino (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) won a 7-4 decision at 125. Brandon Peckham (Plainfield, Wis./Tri-County) got the other points for UWSP with a 3-2 decision win at 165.
 
Ben Gunderson (Shiocton, Wis./Shiocton) came up just short with a 3-1 sudden victory defeat at 285. Austin Schrei (Berlin, Wis./Berlin) batted to a 5-3 decision loss at 174.
 
The Pointers are next in action on Friday (Jan. 27) at the Pete Willson Invitational. The two-day tournament begins at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
