DUBUQUE, Iowa – The UW-Stevens Point men's tennis team made its return on Saturday coming up short in a 7-2 setback at Loras.
Diego Mosquera Herrero earned a point for the Pointers with a win at No. 2 singles cruising to a 6-3, 6-3 win. He paired with Steven Benoy at No. 1 doubles to claim an 8-5 win for UWSP's other point.
Benoy had a solid showing at No. 1 singles as well. He battled to a 7-5 first set, but fell in the second set by a 6-1 final.
Dan Harris won two points in each set at No. 6 singles. Hayden Schreier and Connor Paullin fell by identical 6-1, 6-2 scores.
The men's tennis team is next in action on Sept. 30 at the ITA Regional.
