LA CROSSE, Wis.- The UW-Stevens Point women's golf team finished sixth place at the V-Hawks Invitational on Sunday (Sept. 25) with 356 shots, finishing only 16 shots behind the first-place team.

Kate Downie and Andrea Tietz (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) tied for 21st place with 90 (+18) shots. Tess Bruner tied for 37th place with 95 (+23) shots. Â

Top Team: UW-La Crosse won the invitational with 340 (+52) total shots. UW-Platteville followed closely behind in second place with only two more shots on the day, ending with 342.
Top Individual: Sydney Hufnagle of UW-River Falls won the invitational with 78 (+6) shots on the day.
