EAU CLAIRE, Wis.- The UW-Stevens Point women's golf team is currently in eighth place following day one of the Georgianni Invite. The team is at 357 shots, only two shots behind the seventh-place team.

Notables: Kate Downie is currently tied for 32nd place with a total of 89 (+17) shots. Andrea Tietz (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) and Tess Brunner are tied for 42nd place with 94 (+22) shots.

Tournament Highlights
Top Team: UW-La Crosse is currently in the lead with all five of their golfers in the top 10. They ended the day with 313 shots, 13 shots ahead of the second-place team.
Top Individual: Bailey Lengfelder of Macalester College is in the lead with 75 shots, only three shots over par.
