DE PERE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point football team (0-2) got a pair of touchdown tosses from

An uneventful first quarter saw neither team score and just four first downs combined. The second quarter saw much of the same over the first few possessions.
The Green Knights were the first to put a sustained drive together. A nine-play, 80-yard march down the field saw SNC take a 7-0 lead with just 2:45 left in the half.
In the final minute of the half, UWSP started a drive at midfield. After a pair of runs by Smith got UWSP near field goal range, an interception ended the drive.
SNC took the opening drive of the second half 63 yards in 10 plays to double the UWSP deficit to 14-0.
On the ensuing drive, Schroeder converted a third down with an 11-yard completion to
Joe Aguilera (Dorchester, Wis./Abbotsford). Four plays later, he hit
DJ Jacob (Toms River, N.J./North) for 14 yards as UWSP got into SNC territory for the second time in the game. Then on third-and-nine from the SNC 28, Schroeder connected with Baldridge for the first touchdown to cut the deficit in half.
The Green Knights answered right back with a touchdown drive of nine play to push the lead back to 14 at 21-7.
As the fourth quarter began, the Pointers approached midfield. The drive continued to the SNC 16, but a failed fourth-down conversion ended the drive.
UWSP got the ball back with 2:41 and back-to-back completions by Schroeder had the Pointers at midfield. A defensive penalty kept the drive alive and Schroeder got back to work. Two plays later, Schroeder hit Baldridge from 19 yards out for the second touchdown connection of the day.
The on-side kick was unsuccessful and St. Norbert ran out the clock to secure the win.
The Pointers return home to wrap up non-conference play on Saturday (Sept. 17) against Simpson. The annual Pink Game for Cancer will kickoff at 6:00 p.m.
