The UW-Stevens Point track and field team scattered athletes at four different meets between Friday and Saturday in attempts to make marks for next week's NCAA Indoor Championships.

Four athletes headed to Carthage on Friday.
Blake Orr (Waupaca, Wis./Waupaca) took second in the weight throw with a distance of 17.46 meters (57' 3.50") and third in the shot put (15.66 meters; 51' 4.50").
Cade Ravenscroft (Wisconsin Dells, Wis./Wisconsin Dells) cleared a height of 1.90 meters (6' 2.75") to take third in the high jump.
Orr and
Brilyn Brecka (Alma, Wis./Alma) competed in throws at Ripon on Saturday. Neither improved marks from Friday.
Leyna Herzog (Appleton, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran),
Braedon Gilles (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) and
Jared Schrang (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc) competed at the Wartburg Final Qualifier on Saturday. Schrang had the best finish running a time of 8.25 seconds in the 60-meter hurdle finals, good for fifth.
UWSP hosted the Pointer Final Qualifier on Saturday. With no other collegiate teams in attendance, marks and times were not eligible for NCAA consideration.
On Sunday (March 6) at 7:00 p.m. ET, the NCAA will announce the full field of qualifiers for the NCAA Indoor Championships.
