The first Panthers' error put two in scoring position and Kunkel hit a sac fly to drive in the first run. Walks by Cibrario and Candre loaded the bases. Traxel reached on an infield single and another Panthers' miscue plated two on the play. After a walk to Becca Geiyer (Grayslake, Ill./Warren Township), Lawrence drove in a run with an infield single. The third error of the inning allowed another run to score and Kunkel plated two more runs with a double for a 9-0 lead.

Candre led off the third with a double to center. With two away, the Panthers committed another error as UWSP made it 10-0.
