Nelson secures his second-straight honorable mention accolade. He led UWSP in scoring with 14.9 points per game, the ninth-best scoring average in the conference. Nelson scored in double figures in 18 of UWSP's 21 games, including a season-best 23 points in the WIAC Tournament win over UW-Stout. He also led the Pointers in free throws (82), assists (48), steals (29) and minutes played (650).
Wagner picks up all-sportsmanship laurels after a senior year in which he played in 20 games. He started 10 times and led the Pointers in three-point attempts (94) and makes (36). His 1.8 made three-pointers per game ranked ninth in the league this season. He scored in double figures on seven occasions with multiple three-point makes in each. Wagner had a career-high 20 points in UWSP's WIAC quarterfinal game at UW-La Crosse.
Led by Nelson, the Pointers had the top free throw percentage in the WIAC this season at .745. UWSP was also second in the league in steals per game at 6.95.
