FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team (2-1-0) had three different goal scorers in a 3-1 win at Marian (0-1-1) in non-conference action on Tuesday.
Annika Horman (Appleton, Wis./North) scored her first of the season at 7:12 of the first period to put UWSP in front.
Gina Magro (Tower Lakes, Ill./Barrington) and Grace Torma picked up assists on the goal.
The Sabres tied the game at 11:11 of the first and the teams remained tied at 1-1 after one period.
Early in the second period, the Pointers got the first power play of the game.
Ali Granovsky (St. Paul, Minn./Roseville) took advantage with her first of the year on that power play to put UWSP back in front at 4:05 of the second.
Sara Aadalen (Wayzata, Minn./Wayzata) and McKenna Piekarski had assists on the eventual game-winner.
Twenty seconds later, Josie Bender netted her first career goal to extend the lead to 3-1. Maddie Andrle extended her season-opening point streak to three-straight with an assist, her third of the season.

Olivia Schultz (Maplewood, Minn./Tartan) made 22 saves in the win. Marian goaltender Abby Okon also had 22 saves in the game.
The Pointers return to action next Tuesday (Nov. 8) with a home game against St. Norbert. Puck drop at K.B. Willett Arena is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
