REEDSBURG, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's golf team finished fifth at the WIAC Championship with a 339 round on the final day to finish with 1033 shots, only 10 shots behind the fourth-place finisher.

Top UWSP Individual: Bree Downie (Hortonville, Wis./Hortonville) cut 11 shots off her round from yesterday to move up to tie for 11th place. She finished the tournament with 248 shots total.
Notables: Jenny Marshall (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton) finished tied for 23rd place with a round of 87 today, totaling 257 shots on the weekend. Marshall was named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team following the tournament. Kate Downie (Hortonville, WIs./Hortonville) rounded out her weekend with a round of 90 to tie for 29th.
Tournament Highlights
Top Team: UW-Whitewater and UW-La Crosse tied for first place with 971 shots. A playoff took place to determine who would represent the WIAC in the NCAA Tournament. Whitewater won the playoff with 19 shots to UW-La Crosse's 20 shots.
Top Individual: Lexi Meade of Eau Claire won the tournament with a total of 223 shots, only one shot ahead of the second-place finisher.
