STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The no. 15 UW-Stevens Point volleyball team (21-6) completed a 2-0 weekend at the CCIW/WIAC Crossover with a 3-0 win over Wheaton (10-14) to conclude the tournament.
The Pointers held the Thunder to a -.055 hitting percentage, the lowest by a UWSP opponent this season.
Ashley Kopp (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) recorded her 20th double-double of the season with a match-high 10 kills and 12 digs.
Senior
Emma Peterson (Bloomington, Minn./Thomas Jefferson) had a game-high 16 digs in her final regular season home match. She joined
Olivia Paukner (Prairie Du Sac, Wis./Sauk Prairie) on the all-tournament team.
Grace Michalske (Wausau, Wis./West) had 36 assists on UWSP's 40 kills. Wheaton had just 16 kills for the match.
Kopp and Paukner had two kills each as UWSP opened the match with an 8-1 advantage. Kopp and Paukner combined for three more kills late as UWSP cruised to a 25-12 first set win.

Megan Schroder (Merrill, Wis./Merrill) combined for four aces as the Pointers jumped ahead 20-6 in the second.
Mady Hanse (Tomahawk, Wis./Tomahawk),
Grace Regnier (Antioch, Ill./Antioch Community) and
Summer Salettel (Beaver Dam, Wis./Beaver Dam) each had a late kill in a 25-11 win.
Paukner and Kopp each had a kill and combined for a block as the Pointers took a 5-0 lead to begin the third. A pair of aces by Kopp pushed the lead to 20-11.
Sydney Mosinski (Nevada, Iowa/Nevada) had two late kills, including ht match-clincher in a 25-18 third-set victory.
The Pointers travel to La Crosse for the final two regular season matches. UWSP will face UWL on Friday (Oct. 28) at 7:00 p.m. before closing the regular season on Saturday (Oct. 29) at 12:00 p.m. versus Wartburg.
