OSHKOSH, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's golf team took sixth at the 15 team Titan Classic. The Pointers lowered their team score by four strokes after an improved second day.
Andrea Tietz (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) moved to 14th place from 19th, dropping one stroke from her first round.

Tournament: UW Oshkosh Titan Classic
Location: Oshkosh Country Club – Oshkosh, Wis.
UWSP: 6th of 15 teams
Top UWSP Individual:  Tietz tied for 14th place after the second round with 87 strokes, totaled 175 strokes.
Notable: Bree Downie (Hortonville, Wis./Hortonville) finished 33rd  after shooting 88 in the second round, dropping 13 strokes to total 189 strokes.
 
Tournament Highlights
Top Team:  Host UW-Oshkosh took first with a total of 674 strokes over second-place UW-La Crosse.
Top Individual: UW-River Falls' Sydney Hufnagle finished strong by dropping four strokes to wrap the weekend up in first with 158 strokes.
 
Up next: The Pointers will head to Onalaska next for the UW-La Crosse Invite. Tee time set for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday (Sept. 11).
