STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (2-5-0) dropped a 3-0 score line to Mary Hardin-Baylor (4-1-0) in its first of a pair of weekend matches in Texas.
The host Cru got on the board in the 2st minute. Grace Greenly made it a brace in the 29th minute to give UMHB a 2-0 lead.
In the 77th minute, UMHB put the match out of reach with its third goal.
UWSP mustered just three shots on goal in the match.
Kati Frierdich (Neenah, Wis./Winneconne),
Gabby Dunn (Dallas, Texas/Bishop) and
Shea-Lynn Gerred (Fond du Lac, Wis./Fond du Lac) had one each.
Miranda Nieman (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis./Lincoln) made three saves for the Pointers. UMHB goalkeepers Ainsley Westlake and Reagan Williams each played a half making a combined three saves.
The Pointers close out the trip to Texas on Saturday (Sept. 18) with a 7:30 p.m. match at Hardin-Simmons University.
