LA CROSSE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's golf team returned to competition on Sunday. Overall, the Pointers combined for 378 strokes to place seventh at the V-Hawk Invitational. Andrea Tietz (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) once again placed a team best, placing 15th with a round of 87.

UWSP: 7th of 10 teams
Top UWSP Individual:  Andrea Tietz (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) placed 15th overall, nine strokes off the lead.
Notable: Jenny Marshall (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton) finished tied for 21st, shooting 90 on the day.
 
Tournament Highlights
Top Team: UW-La Crosse took the title with a combined score of 330, one stroke better than 2nd place host, Viterbo.
Top Individual: Madison Zloto from Viterbo finished first shooting 78 at their home course. 

Up next: The Pointers will return to action in Fond du Lac for the Marian Invite. Tee time set for 10:00 a.m. on Friday (Sept 17).
