WAVERLY, Iowa – The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (0-1-0) held No. 24 Wartburg (1-0-0) scoreless for 105 minutes, but the host Knights converted on a penalty kick in the 106th minute as UWSP fell, 1-0.
UWSP goalkeeper
Miranda Nieman (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis./Lincoln) made 11 saves, including a diving stop on a close-range shot in the 98th minute. She guessed right on the game-winner, but the power of the shot got under her dive for the lone, decisive goal.

Freshman
Jessica Camarato (DeForest, Wis./DeForest Area) led the Pointers with three shots in the match. Her first came in the 24th minute. She then put two on frame in the 56th and 60th minutes.
Fellow freshman
Mara Gustafson (Green Bay, Wis./Bay Port) added a shot on goal in the 97th minute.
