REEDSBURG, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's golf team sit in fifth, just three strokes back of third, after the first round of the WIAC Championship (presented by Culver's). UWSP's Bree Downie (Hortonville, Wis./Hortonville) shot an opening round 76, good for a tie for fourth.

Notables: Brooke Tuszka (Plover, Wis./SPASH) and Grace Eide (Osseo, Wis./Osseo-Fairchild) carded an 88 and 89 to tie for 28th and 31st, respectively.

Top Individual: UWW's Kristin Bowe shot a one-over 71 for a four shot lead among individuals.
