ASHLAND, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team (4-6-0, 2-1-0) got goals from six different players in a 6-0 win at Northland (1-9-1, 0-4-0).
Bella Moskonas (Greenfield, Wis./) got the scoring underway with an unassisted power-play goal at 4:45 of the first period.
Nicole Neuberger (Minnetrista, Minn./Orono) gave the Pointers a 2-0 lead at 7:03 of the second period, her first of three points on the night.
Sara Aadalen (Wayzata, Minn./Wayzata) added an assist on the goal.
Ryan Ruoho (Madison, Wis./James Madison Memorial) netted her first career goal at 9:06 of the second to give UWSP a 3-0 lead.
Katie Stanius (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake) provided a helper on the goal.
Ashtyn Wiltscheck (Sleepy Eye, Minn./New Ulm) made it 4-0 late in the second off an assist from
Gina Magro (Tower Lakes, Ill./Barrington).
UWSP scored again on the power play at 9:32 of the third off the stick of
Mary Kremer (Sussex, Wis./Arrowhead Warhawks).
Laina Berthiaume (South Haven, Minn./Hutchinson) and Neuberger had assists. Neuberger added another assist when
Courtney Leising (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove) scored to give UWSP a 6-0 lead.
Olivia Schultz (Maplewood, Minn./Tartan) made 18 saves and
Shayna Grais (Lincolnwood, Ill./Niles West) had two in the shutout for UWSP. NC goaltender Teagen Johnson made 41 saves.
The Pointers return home for a non-conference game against Augsburg on Friday (Dec. 10). Puck drop at Ice Hawks Arena is set for 7:00 p.m.
