SUPERIOR, Wis. – The No. 10-ranked UW-Stevens Point men's hockey team (5-3-0, 1-1-0) suffered a 3-0 loss at UW-Superior (4-1-0, 2-0-0) on Saturday.
The Pointers out-shot the Yellowjackets by an 8-6 margin in the first period, but neither team could break the scoreless tie.
At 10:55 of the second period, the Yellowjackets broke through. Then UWS added two goals in a 35-second span later in the period to take a 3-0 lead.
The Pointers fired 12 shots at UW-Superior goaltender Myles Hektor in the third period while allowing just two against. UWSP was unable to get one past Hektor in the defeat.

Ryan Wagner (Indianapolis, Ind.) had 21 saves in the game and drops just his third career decision.
The Pointers play a home-and-home non-conference series against Concordia (Wis.) on Friday (Nov. 26) and Saturday (Nov. 27). Both games begin at 7:00 p.m. with UWSP hosting the matchup on Saturday.
