Kroupa’s PK Gives UWSP Early Lead at UWO

OSHKOSH, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (4-9-0, 0-2-0) couldn't hold onto a first half lead in a 2-1 loss at UW-Oshkosh (9-2-1, 2-0-0) in league action on Wednesday.
 
Hannah Kroupa (New Berlin, Wis./West) gave UWSP the lead in the 27th minute from the penalty spot. It was her third goal of the season.
 
The Titans equalized four minutes later off a free kick from about 20 yards out.  The teams remained tied at the half.
 
Just 27 seconds into the second stanza, UWO took the lead and held on for the one-goal victory. 
 
Brookelyn Heiss (Marietta, Ohio/Marietta) started in net and made four saves in 90 minutes of action.  UWO goalkeeper Erin Toomey made three saves.
 
The Pointers head to UW-Whitewater on Saturday (Oct. 9) for a 6:00 p.m. matchup.
