Baehman Records Double-Double in Road Defeat

OSHKOSH, Wis. – Sophomore Amber Baehman (Plainfield, Wis./Tri-County) recorded her 10th career double-double, but the UW-Stevens Point women's basketball team (9-13, 4-7) fell at UW-Oshkosh (13-9, 6-5) on Wednesday, 66-55.

Baehman scored 13 points and had a game-high 10 rebounds to pick up her third double-double of the season.  Taylor Greenheck (Sauk Prairie, Wis./Sauk Prairie) led UWSP with 15 points and Kellan Schmidt (Edgerton, Wis./Edgerton) added 13.

Schmidt opened the game with a three-pointer and Greenheck gave UWSP a 5-0 lead, but the Titans reeled off 12-straight for a lead UWO would not relinquish.

Baehman scored UWSP first seven points of the second quarter and Schmidt the next five, but UWSP trailed by a 38-27 score at the break.

Greenheck scored seven points in the third quarter as the Pointers cut the deficit to seven, 48-41, heading to the fourth.

Schmidt drilled another from behind the arc three minutes into the fourth sparking an 8-0 run as UWSP got within a point at 52-51 with 2:41 remaining.  The Titans closed the game on a 14-4 run from that point on to wrap up the win.

The Pointers head to UW-La Crosse on Saturday (Feb. 15) for a 3:00 p.m. matchup with the Eagles.
