Less than three minutes later, Kremer put UWSP ahead 2-1 with Hahner and Alex Grubbs (Minong, Wis./Spooner) adding helpers.

The Pointers held the lead until the 16:49 mark when SMU tied the game at 2-2.  UWSP was able to kill off two penalties at the end of regulation and in overtime to secure the tie.
