DULUTH, Minn. – Sophomore
Mary Kremer (Sussex, Wis./Arrowhead Warhawks) racked up her third multi-point game of 2020 as the UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team (7-4-3) skated to a 2-2 tie at St. Scholastica (4-6-1) on Friday.
Kremer opened the scoring at 7:08 of the first period.
Sophie Regovic (Naperville, Ill./Chicago Mission) added an assist, her third point in the last two games.
The Pointers lead doubled to 2-0 as Kremer assisted on
Kiley Hahner's (Wausau, Wis./West) goal. The goal increased Hahner's point streak to four-straight games to begin 2020.
The Saints scored on the power play early in the second period to cut UWSP's lead in half. CSS completed the comeback with another power-play tally in the third period. UWSP killed off a penalty in overtime to secure the tie.
Olivia Schultz (Maplewood, Minn./Tartan) made 30 saves for the Pointers. CSS goaltender Lori Huseby made 19 saves.
The Pointers and Saints close out the weekend series in Duluth on Saturday (Jan. 11) at 5:00 p.m.
