GENEVA, OHIO – The UW-Stevens Point track and field teams added a fourth All-American of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday. The UWSP women took 17th in the country and the men tied for 50th.
Results
Tom Kohn (Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka) finished fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 15.28 meters (50' 1.75"), a mere 0.15 meters behind the event champion. His mark was a personal best and gave the Pointers the fourth, fourth-place event finisher of the weekend.
Larkin Hoepner (Eau Claire, Wis./North) closed out the Championships with a 19th-place finish in the hammer throw. Her distance of 46.50 meters (152' 7") came on her second attempt.
Kohn's All-American honor extended the men's streak to 24 consecutive years with at least one outdoor All-American. UWSP's women had three All-Americans for the first time in the outdoor season since 2016.
