DUBUQUE, Iowa – Freshman
Bridget Kauzlaric (Coal City, Ill./Coal City) scored her first career goal, but the UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (5-1-1) came up short in a 2-1 loss at the University of Dubuque (5-1-0) on Sunday.
Kauzlaric put home a rebound in the 14th minute to put the Pointers ahead.
Maddy Hardyman (Red Wing, Minn./Red Wing) assisted on the goal after Hardyman's original shot rang off the post.
In the 31st minute, the Spartans scored to level the match at 1-1. Dubuque scored the go-ahead goal in the 77th minute and held on to hand UWSP its first defeat of the year.

Jacqueline Aleman (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) had three shots apiece to lead the Pointers as UWSP out-shot the Spartans, 15-12.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Lexi Pawlowski (Mundelein, Ill./Mundelein) made four saves.
The Pointers travel to Ripon on Wednesday (Sept. 19) to make-up a rescheduled match from earlier in the month. Kickoff is slated for 4:00 p.m.
