Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Hass Registers Game-Winner for UWSP Soccer at Edgewood

MADISON, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (4-0-1) recorded 26 shots and senior Kortnee Hass (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) got her second-straight game-winner in a 1-0 victory at Edgewood (0-3-1) on Wednesday.

Hass netted the game-winner with a shot from inside the box in the 79th minute.  Her goal came on a scramble in the box and the ball dropped to her left where she lunged and poked the ball into the back of the net.

UWSP got five shots apiece from Jacqueline Aleman (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) and Gracie Wendels (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis./Assumption) to lead the team.  Aleman, Maddy Hardyman (Red Wing, Minn./Red Wing) and Kassidy Spees (Nekoosa, Wis./Nekoosa) each had two shots on net.

The Pointers' defense limited Edgewood to just one shot in the match.  Reigning WIAC Defensive Player of the Week Lexi Pawlowski (Mundelein, Ill./Mundelein) recorded the shutout without having to make a save.

UWSP travels to Iowa this weekend to face Wartburg on Saturday (Sept. 15) at 1:00 p.m. before travelling to Dubuque on Sunday to play the Spartans at 2:00 p.m.
