LA CROSSE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point track and field team sent a number of jumpers and throwers to La Crosse on Sunday for the rescheduled UWL Eagle Open.
Results
Tylar Kohnke (North Fond du Lac, Wis./Horace Mann) was the top finisher in the javelin throw with a mark of 53.81 meters (176' 6.0".
Brent Reierson (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) finished fourth in the hammer throw with a distance of 55.48 meters (182' 0").
Logan Garski (Rosholt, Wis./Rosholt) came in ninth with a throw of 51.61 meters (169' 4.0") and
Caleb Rheinschmidt (Nekoosa, Wis./Nekoosa) was 11th at 49.30 meters (161' 9.0").
In the shotput, Reierson placed sixth with a distance of 15.10 meters (49' 6.5").
Dylan Delaney (Sauk Prairie, Wis./Sauk Prairie) came in ninth with a distance of 14.60 meters (47' 10.75").
Reierson recorded a distance of 45.43 meters (149' 0") in the discus throw to finish eighth. Teammate
Blake Orr (Waupaca, Wis./Waupaca) came in 13th with a distance of 42.46 meters (139' 4.0").
Jeremy Lee (Viroqua, Wis./Viroqua) finished 11th in the pole vault clearing the bar at a height of 4.44 meters (14' 6.75").
Connor Haag (La Crosse, Wis./Aquinas) placed 11th in the long jump with a distance of 5.46 meters (17' 11").
For the women,
Karen Wethal (Evansville, Wis./Evansville) finished in second in both the discus throw and the shotput. Her distances were 46.24 meters (151' 8.0") and 13.81 meters (45' 3.75").
Larkin Hoepner (Eau Claire, Wis./North) came in fourth in the discus throw with a toss of 41.89 meters (137' 5.0"). She earned a seventh-place finish in the hammer throw with a distance of 49.05 meters (160' 11.0").
Adrienne Lewis (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly) and
Anna Hogan (Omro, Wis./Omro) snagged top-7 placing in the long jump. Lewis landed at 5.54 meters (18' 2.25") and Hogan jumped a distance of 5.10 meters (16' 8.75").
Hogan also competed in the triple jump. Her distance of 10.50 meters (34' 5.5") was good for 11th.
The Pointers return to La Crosse on Thursday (May 17) for the UWL Final Qualifier. Events begin at 3:00 p.m.
