OSHKOSH, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's basketball team (13-11, 7-6) opened the second half on a 10-2 run and held off No. 19 UW-Oshkosh (18-5, 8-5) by a 60-52 score in Oshkosh on Wednesday.
Carly Cerrato (De Pere, Wis./De Pere) scored a game-high 14 points that included UWSP's only two three-point makes of the game. She grabbed five rebounds and had a pair of steals.

Lexi Roland (New London, Wis./New London) 13 points and fellow senior
Mickey Roland (New London, Wis./New London) hauled in 13 rebounds. Freshman
Brooke Geier (Kewaunee, Wis./Kewaunee) added 12 points.
Taylor Barrett (Monroe, Wis./Monroe) tied a season high with four blocks.
Geier scored four straight points as the Pointers pulled ahead 6-4 early.
Lexi Roland (New London, Wis./New London) completed an and-1 to break a 6-6 tie.
Kellan Schmidt (Edgerton, Wis./Edgerton) and Cerrato scored on consecutive possessions, but the lead was just three after one.
Mickey Roland (New London, Wis./New London) and Barrett scored on back-to-back possessions to push the lead to seven early in the second quarter. Roland ended a Titans' 11-2 run and Cerrato nailed a three to regain the lead at 25-22. The teams traded points down the stretch, but UWSP maintained a 30-28 advantage at the half.
The Pointers opened the third quarter on a 10-2 run with five different UWSP players scoring two points each during the run. Schmidt added a basket in the final minute and the Pointers led by nine heading to the fourth.
Cerrato buried a three to open the UWSP scoring in the fourth quarter to put the lead at 10. The Titans rallied to within two twice, but solid free throw shooting supplemented by Geier completing an and-1 in the closing seconds squashed the comeback attempt by UWO.
The Pointers host UW-Eau Claire on Saturday for Senior Day. Tip-off at Berg Gym is set for 3:00 p.m.
