STEVENS POINT, Wis.- The UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team (5-5-1) was held to just nine shots on goal in a 2-0 loss to Augsburg (6-3-1) on Friday in the final home game of 2018.

Sydney Conley (South St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul) made 32 saves in the game for the Pointers. UWSP was unable to capitalize on the extra attacker for 1:22 late in the game.

The visiting Auggies got on the board in the first period as a loose puck was chipped in from close range.

Later in the third period, Augsburg scored a shorthanded goal after a turnover by the Pointers deep in their own territory.

UWSP heads to Winona, Minn., tomorrow (Dec. 8) to face Saint Mary's in the final game of the calendar year. Puck drops at 7:00 p.m. at Saint Mary's Ice Arena.
