OSHKOSH, Wis. – Senior
Olivia Bohnert (Oshkosh, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) had a career night in her final regular season game in her home town as she scored two goals in a 3-1 win for the UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (11-2-2, 4-0-1) over host UW-Oshkosh (5-9-1, 2-2-0) on Wednesday.
Bohnert, an Oshkosh native, recorded her first career two-goal match in the win. She got the Pointers on the board in the 15th minute on an assist from freshman
Bridget Kauzlaric (Coal City, Ill./Coal City).
The Pointers made it 2-0 in the 21st minute as Bohnert scored again.
Nora Hargett (Columbia, Mo./Hickman) picked up the assist on Bohnert's second tally of the match.
Moments later, freshman
Jacqueline Aleman (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) extended the lead to 3-0 with a goal in the 25th minute. Junior
Maddy Hardyman (Red Wing, Minn./Red Wing) racked up her team-best seventh assist of the year on the goal.
The Titans broke through for a goal in the 46th minute, but sophomore
Lexi Pawlowski (Mundelein, Ill./Mundelein) made three saves down the stretch for UWSP in the win.
Pawlowski made seven saves in the win. Aleman and senior
Kortnee Hass (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) had three shots each to lead the Pointers.
UWSP returns home to face UW-Platteville on Saturday. Kickoff at Point Soccer Bowl is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
