WHITEWATER, Wis. – Senior
Kortnee Hass (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) scored her fourth game-winner of the season as the UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (10-2-2, 3-0-1) remained unbeaten in conference play with a 2-0 win at UW-Whitewater (6-8-1, 0-4-0) on Saturday.
Hass broke a scoreless tie in the 66th minute off a corner kick sent in by freshman
Jacqueline Aleman (Lemont, Ill./Lemont). It was Hass' sixth goal of the year.
In the 69th minute,
Maddy Hardyman (Red Wing, Minn./Red Wing) netted her team-leading ninth goal of the year to make it 2-0.
Meaghan Ambelang (Stuttgart, Germany/Patch/Stuttgart) picked up an assist on the goal.
Sophomore
Lexi Pawlowski (Mundelein, Ill./Mundelein) made two saves for her fifth shutout of the year.
The Pointers remain on the road with a visit to UW-Oshkosh on Wednesday (Oct. 17) with a 7:00 p.m. match.
