Sydney Conley (South St. Paul, MN/South St. Paul) stopped a program record 55 shots as the UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team (10-5-2, 1-1-1) shut out No. 5/6 UW-River Falls (12-4-2, 2-1-1) at Ice Hawks Arena on Friday, 0-0.
Conley turned aside 16 shots in the first period and 13 more in the second as the teams remained deadlocked at 0-0. In the third period, she surpassed her previous career-high with 19 more saves. In overtime, she stopped seven more for the career-high total of 55.
Her 55 saves in the shutout were the fifth-highest single-game total in WIAC history. She made six saves while UWSP was shorthanded.

Maddie Schlossmacher (Roseville, MN/Roseville) had three of UWSP's 10 shots on goal in the game. Fellow senior
Ali Biagini (Stillwater, MN/Stillwater) had two shots on net.
The Pointers killed off both UWRF power plays and were not able to score on their lone power play of the game.
UWSP will conclude the season series against UWRF on Saturday (Jan. 20). Puck drop at Ice Hawks Arena is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
