Willem Nong-Lambert (Des Moines, Iowa/) scored a pair of goals to guide the No. 3/4 UW-Stevens Point men's hockey team to a 5-2 win over conference foe UW-Eau Claire on Friday evening at Hobbs Ice Arena.

At the 10:29 of the first period, Nong-Lambert tallied his first goal of the night to give UW-Stevens Point (14-4-2, 2-0-1 WIAC) a 1-0 lead over UW-Eau Claire (11-8-0, 2-2-0 WIAC).

Less than four minutes later,
Carter Roo (Champlin, MN/) scored to give UWSP a 2-0 lead.

In the second period, Nong-Lambert scored his second goal of the contest on the power play to give the Pointers a three-goal advantage. Just two minutes later,
Tanner Karty (Oklahoma City, OK/) scored to give UWSP a 4-0 advantage midway through the second period.

At 10:16 of the second period, Todd Koritzinsky scored for UWEC to cut into the UWSP lead entering the final period.

At 9:24 of the third period,
Luke McElhenie (Sauk City, WI/) scored a shorthanded goal to round out the UWSP scoring.

With 2:46 remaining in the third period, Johnny Mueller scored a power-play goal for UWEC to cut the UWSP lead to 5-2.

Max Milosek (Lapeer, MI/) made 29 saves in net for UWSP.
