PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Senior
Jerry Williams (Watertown, WI/Watertown) won his third triple jump championship in four years at the WIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships (presented by Culver's) on Saturday. His title helped the UW-Stevens Point track and field men's team to a third-place finish with a two-day score of 99.50 points. The UWSP women finished sixth with a score of 82 points.

Williams won the triple jump with a distance of 14.45 meters (47' 5"). Williams also competed in the 100-meter dash finishing fourth with a time of 10.87 seconds.
Christian Ferguson (Milwaukee, Wis./SCTE) finished in third place in the high jump. He cleared the bar with a height of 2.02 meters (6' 7.50").
Calden Wojt (Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield) completed the 200-meter dash in third place with a time of 21.62 seconds.
After the two days of competition in the decathlon,
Jeremy Lee (Viroqua, WI/Viroqua) and
Abrahm Schroedl (DeForest, Wis./DeForest) finished in fourth and eighth place. The pair finished with two-day scores of 6,331 and 5,608, respectively.
In the 4x400-meter relay, the team of
Noah Scheer (Elkhorn, WI/East Troy),
Michael Pomaville (Dousman, WI/Mukwonago),
Zeth Langworthy (Rush City, Minn./Rush City/Minnesota Duluth) and
Se'Kon Stephens (Milwaukee, WI/Menomonee Falls) finished in sixth place with a time of 3:22.50.
After two days of competition,
Sylviann Momont (Auburndale, Wis./Auburndale) finished in second place in the heptathlon with a total of 4,313 points.
Kathy Derks (Greenville, WI/Hortonville) also earned a second-place finish in 800-meter dash. She ran a time of 2:14.07.
The 4x400-meter dash team of Derks,
Sarah Vils (Mosinee, WI/Mosinee),
Makani Peters (Stevens Point, Wis./SPASH) and
Leah Trempe (Combined Locks, WI/Kimberly) finished in third place with a time of 3:54.81.
Emily Schlebecker (Mundelein, IL/Mundelein) placed third in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:50.16.
Jacklyn Butler (Oshkosh, WI/West) finished in fourth and sixth place in the 100- and 400-meter dash. She ran times of 15.06 and 1:04.35.
Trempe and Vils finished fourth and seventh in the 400-meter dash with times of 57.52 and 58.20 seconds.
The Pointers travel to Naperville, Ill. for the Dr. Keeler Invite on May 11 and 12.
