DE PERE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's basketball team (1-2) ended up on the short end of a see-saw battle at St. Norbert (3-1) on Saturday night in a 58-54 loss to the Green Knights.

As the teams traded buckets down the stretch, Brett Tauber (Madison, Wis./Memorial) scored the Pointers' final three points of the half with SNC taking a 27-24 edge into the break.

Delmore hit his first three of the season early in the second half to cut the deficit to two.  Nelson hit a bucket to tie the game at 35-35 and Nate Dodge (East Troy, Wis./East Troy) buried a three to put UWSP up by four at 14:04.  After Dodge scored again at the 11:51 mark, UWSP went four minutes without a bucket as the Green Knights built a five-point advantage.

Bublitz ended the drought with his first points of the year.  Knez cut the lead to two and later Blake Ehrke (Deerfield, Wis./Deerfield) nailed a three to tie the game at 48-48.  Bublitz gave the Pointers their final lead at 52-51 as SNC hit seven of eight free throws to salt away the game.
