LA CROSSE, Wis. — The UW-Stevens Point men's and women's track and field teams competed at the UW-La Crosse qualifier on Friday May 13. No team scores were recorded.

Men's Results
The Pointers had top-five finishes from Takuto Kobayashi (Franklin, WI/Franklin) in the 400 meter hurdles (Fifth, 57.95), Ben Jurenec in the 3000 meter steeplechase (Fourth, 9:52.37) and Tylar Kohnke (North Fond du Lac, WI/Horace Mann) in the javelin throw (Fourth,47.20m).
Also Finishing Top-five was Logan Heil (Weston, WI/DC Everest) in the hammer throw (Fourth, 55.83m) and the 4x400 meter relay team (Third, 3:21:22).
UWSP also took home three of the top five spots in the mens long jump, led by Jordan Richards (Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) who took home first place with a 7.08 meter leap. Alec Dix (WIld Rose, WI/Wild Rose) finished in third place jumping 6.67 meters and Darin Ward (Fond du Lac, WI/St. Mary's Springs) took fifth jumping 6.55 meters.
Also finishing in Top-ten on Friday was Noah Scheer (Elkhorn, WI/East Troy) in the 400 meter dash (Ninth, 51.16), Alex Egbert (La Crosse, WI/Aquinas) in the 800 meter run (10th, 1:58.46), Josh Jones (Downers Grove, IL/South) (Seventh, 12.81m) and Andre White (Chicago, IL/Lane Tech) (Ninth, 11.76m) in the triple jump and Brent Reierson (Watertown, WI/Watertown) in the discus throw (Ninth, 43.37m)
Women's Results
UWSP had first place finishes from Jacklyn Butler (Oshkosh, WI/West) in the 400 meter hurdles (1:04.67), Kadie Flynn (Appleton, WI/North) in the discus throw (46.46m) and Isabela Weekly in high jump (1.61m).
Weekly also took second in the long jump with a 5.53m leap. Flynn took home second in the hammer throw (52.56m), and eighth in the shot put (12.12m)
Also finishing in the top-five for the Pointers, was Holly Winberg (Forest Lake, MN/Forest Lake) in the 1500 meter run (Fifth, 4:53.09), the 4x400 meter relay team (Second,3:50.70), Bailey Boudreau (Wausau, WI/East) in the 5000 meter run (Fifth, 19:39.76)
The Pointers will travel to North Central in Naperville Ill. on May 18th for the Last Chance meet before Nationals the following weekend.
