Box Score LAKE PLACID N.Y. - Eliot Grauer (Mukilteo, WA/Kamiak) scored a pair of goals to lead the UW-Stevens Point men's hockey team to 5-1 victory over SUNY Geneseo at Herb Brooks Arena. The Pointers advanced to the National Championship game on Saturday evening.

Just 6:34 into the final period, Grauer scored his second goal of the game to secure the UWSP (23-5-2) victory to advance to the championship Saturday, the third consecutive trip to the finals for the Pointers.
The Pointers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after Jono Davis (La Verne, CA) put a wrist shot over the glove of Geneseo (20-5-6) goaltender 5:30 into the first period off an assist by Drew Graves (Allen Park, MI/Allen Park )
Just 4:10 later Tanner Karty (Oklahoma City, OK) extended the UWSP lead putting home his seventh goal of the season off assist by Nick D'Avolio (North Riverside, IL).
At the 15:50 mark of the opening period, Graves put the Pointers up three, off assist by Joe Kalisz (Davison, MI/Davison) and Alex Brooks (Grand Rapids, MI).
Midway through the second period, Karty returned the favor setting up Grauer for his first of the night giving UWSP a 4-0 lead.
With only 1:18 remaining in the second period, Geneseo's RJ Burns scored a short handed goal to cut into the lead, before Grauer's insurance goal in the third.
Max Milosek (Lapeer, MI) made 11 saves for UW-Stevens Point, while Devin McDonald made 25 for Geneseo
UW-Stevens Point will face St. Norbert, Saturday at 7 pm EST at Herb Brooks Arena. St. Norbert needed double overtime to secure the win in their semifinal contest against UMASS Boston. The Green Knights fell behind 3-0 but came storming back to take a 7-3 lead after two periods. The Beacons tallied four third period goals to tie the game and force overtime. After a scoreless first overtime, SNC scored just minutes into the second overtime to secure the win.
