STEVENS POINT, Wis. –
Jerry Williams (Watertown, WI/Watertown) took home two event titles while
Darin Ward (Fond du Lac, WI/St. Mary's Springs) and
Neil Pedersen (Clarendon Hills, IL/Hinsdale Central) added titles of their own as the UW-Stevens Point men's indoor track & field team finished first of 11 teams on Saturday at the 2016 Big Dawg Invite at the Multi-Activity Center.

ResultsDylan McGuire (Luxemburg ,WI/Luxemberg-Casco) finished runner-up in the 400-meter dash, posting a time of 50.96
Neil Pedersen (Clarendon Hills, IL/Hinsdale Central) and Lukas Johnson finished 1-2 in the 3000-meter run, posting times of 8:49.90 and 8:51.63, respectively.
Darin Ward (Fond du Lac, WI/St. Mary's Springs) matched his prelim time of 8.44 seconds in the finals to take home the top finish in the 60-meter hurdles.
Jerry Williams (Watertown, WI/Watertown) and
Alec Dix (WIld Rose, WI/Wild Rose) finished 1-2 in the long jump, with Williams posting a jump of 6.72 (22' .75") and Dix a jump of 6.70 meters (21' 11.75").
Williams and
Josh Jones (Downers Grove, IL/South) finished 1-2 in the triple jump. Williams posted a jump of 13.67 meters (44' 10.25") and Jones a 13.01 meter (42' 8.25") jump.
Logan Heil (Weston, WI/DC Everest) finished runner-up in the weight throw with a toss of 16.50 meters (54' 1.75").
The Pointers return to action at the 2016 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Indoor Championships Feb. 26-27 at the Kolf Fieldhouse at UW-Oshkosh.
