STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's indoor track & field team had its final tune-up before the conference championships on Saturday, hosting the Big Dawg Invite. The Pointers finished third of seven teams at the event.

ResultsJacklyn Butler (Oshkosh, WI/West) won the 60-meter hurdles, finishing with the best time in the prelims (9.28) and finals (9.10).
Shannon Burke (Sussex, WI/Hamilton) cleared 3.75 meters (12' 3.5") to take home the top spot in the pole vault.
Kadie Flynn (Appleton, WI/North) out-threw the field in the shot put with a toss of 13.75 meters (45' .5").
The 4x400-meter relay team of
Leah Trempe (Combined Locks, WI/Kimberly),
Autumn Nelson (Superior, WI/Superior),
Hannah Mertens (West Bend, WI/Hartford Union) and
Kathy Derks (Greenville, WI/Hortonville) finished with the top time in the event (3:55.55). The Pointers team of Butler,
Sarah Vils (Mosinee, WI/Mosinee), Abigail Clement and
Megan School (Wittenberg, WI/Wittenberg-Birnamwood) finished runner-up in the event with a time of 4:06.89.
Amelia Fass (Madison, WI/James Madison) finished runner-up in the 3,000-meter run, posting a time of 10:53.18
School also finished runner-up in the long jump with a 5.02m (16' 5.75") jump.
The Pointers return to action at the 2016 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Indoor Championships Feb. 26-27 at the Kolf Fieldhouse at UW-Oshkosh.
