Box Score STEVENS POINT, Wis.- At the 12:40 mark of the third period, junior forward Willem Nong-Lambert (Des Moines, Iowa ) scored what would prove to be the game-winning goal to lead the No. 4 UW-Stevens Point men's hockey team to a 4-3 victory over second-ranked Adrian on Saturday night at K.B. Willett Arena.

After passing the midway point of the third period, Nong-Lambert tallied his fourth goal of the season on the power play, off assists by Tanner Karty (Oklahoma City, OK) and Ryan Bittner (Crookston, MN), to put UW-Stevens Point (9-2-2) up 4-3 over Adrian (8-2-2).

Adrian jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, after Vincent Paquette scored for the Bulldogs at the 6:24 mark of the opening period.

Midway through the first frame, the Pointers struck twice, getting goals from Kyle Sharkey (Moore, OK/Insight School of Kansas) and Stephan Beauvais (Shelby Township, MI) to put the Pointers up 2-1 with just under five minutes remaining.

At the 18:12 mark of the first period, Adrian's Kyle Brothers scored to even the game at two heading into the first intermission.

In the second frame, sophomore defenseman Ethan Strong (Kinmount, ON) put the Pointers up by one, scoring a power play goal 2:02 into the middle period.

Just 2:03 later, Brothers tallied his second goal of the game off an assist by Tyler Currie to even the game, before Nong-Lambert's heroics in the third period.

UWSP outshot Adrian 33-31. Junior Goaltender Max Milosek (Lapeer, MI) earned the victory for Pointers, making 28 saves. Kevin Entmaa recorded 29 saves for Adrian.

UW-Stevens Point will return to action following the start of the new year, traveling to St. Olaf and Hamline on January 6 and 7.
