WHITEWATER, Wis. –
Shannon Burke (Sussex, WI/Hamilton) won the pole vault and
Kadie Flynn (Appleton, WI/North) took home the shot put title as the UW-Stevens Point women's indoor track & field team finished fourth at the Warhawk Classic Invitational & Multi on Saturday at Kachel Fieldhouse.
Results Flynn won the shot put with a throw of 13.00 meters (42' 8"), while
Jordan Tyjeski (Beaver Dam, WI/Beaver Dam) was third (12.53m, 41' 1.5").
Burke won the pole vault for the second consecutive meet, clearing 3.55 meters (11' 7.75") to edge North Central's Courtney Meyer.
Freshman
Isabella Weekly (Plainfield, WI/Tri County) was the runner-up in the pentathlon with 2,755 points.
Holly Winberg (Forest Lake, MN/Forest Lake) placed third in the 3,000-meter run (10:38.12).
Jacklyn Butler (Oshkosh, WI/West) finished third in the 60-meter hurdles (9.29s).
Megan School (Wittenberg, WI/Wittenberg-Birnamwood) was third in the long jump (5.24m, 17' 2.25").

Sarah Vils (Mosinee, WI/Mosinee),
Leah Trempe (Combined Locks, WI/Kimberly) and
Kathy Derks (Greenville, WI/Hortonville) ran to a third-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay in 4:00.76.
Derks also placed fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:19.88.
As a team, UW-Stevens Point finished with 90 points to place fourth. The University of Chicago won the meet with 109.50 points, followed by UW-Whitewater (109) and UW-Oshkosh (93.50).
The Pointers host the Pointer Invite on Saturday, Feb. 6 beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the Multi-Activity Center.
