CHICAGO, Ill. - The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team was downed by No. 11 University of Chicago, 7-0, this Wednesday evening at Amos Alonzo Stagg Field.
Box ScoreSix different players scored for the Maroons to improve to 2-1-0 for the win, while the Pointers drop to 1-3-0 with the loss.
The Maroons outshot the Pointers 29-2 with Naomi Pacalin, taking the lead, having four shots on goal and two finding the back of the net.
The lone shots for UW-Stevens Point came from
Jillian Ross (Waunakee, WI/Waunakee) and
Emily Dietrich (Franklin, WI/Muskego).
The Pointers return to action Friday, Sept. 11 against Edgewood College. The match is set to start at 4 p.m. at the Point Soccer Bowl.
