STEVENS POINT, Wis. - It took two overtime periods, but the UW-Stevens Point soccer team won a thriller 1-0 against Edgewood College this Friday evening, Sept. 11 at the Point Soccer Bowl.

Elise Thuot (Hatley, WI/D.C. Everest)'s corner kick.

The win improves the Pointers record to 2-3-0 with the win while the Eagles drop to 2-2-0 with the loss.

UW-Stevens Point had numerous opportunities to score in regulation, but Edgewood's goalie, Sabelle Seabrook, denied the Pointers nine times before Ross scored the game-winner.

The Pointers look to continue their winning ways as they visit Lawrence University on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at Whiting Field in Appleton. The match is set for a 7 p.m. start.
