Menomonie, Wis. - The UW-Stevens Point soccer team dropped its Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) opener to UW-Stout 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at Nelson Field.
Box Score Jenna Kizlik and Megan Collins each netted a goal for the Blue Devils to help improve their record to 3-1-2 (1-0-0 WIAC) with the win, while the Pointers dropped to 2-5-0 (0-1-0 WIAC) with the loss.
Kizlik, assisted by Haley Wentz, put UW-Stout on the board first, scoring at the 22:46 mark. Collins found the back of the net for her second goal of the season at the 54:45 mark to put the Blue Devils ahead 2-0.
UW-Stevens Point managed just three shots on goal, while UW-Stout challenged Pointers' goalie

Elise Thuot (Hatley, WI/D.C. Everest) managed a team-high three shots for UWSP.
The Pointers look to bounce back on Sunday, Sept. 20 as they host Wartburg at 2 p.m. at the Point Soccer Bowl. There will be a free kids clinic following the game.
