LA CROSSE, Wis. – Michael Evans (Reedsville, WI/Valders) won the 800-meter run for the UW-Stevens Point men's track and field team at the Eagle Open hosted by UW-La Crosse on Friday night. 

Results

Evans won the 800 with a time of 1:50.23. This was a personal best for Evans, a sophomore from Reedsville, Wis.

Matt Gerber (Tomahawk, WI/Tomahawk) finished third for the Pointers in the 200-meter run with a personal-record performance of 21.96.

Dan Sullivan (Elkhorn, WI/Elkhorn) placed third in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:52.56.

Alec Dix (WIld Rose, WI/Wild Rose) took third in long jump with jump of 6.89 meters (22'7.25").

Mickey Flynn took fourth in the discus with a throw of 51.09 meters (167'7"). Flynn's throw was a personal best.

Tylar Kohnke (North Fond du Lac, WI/Horace Mann) finished third in the javelin with a throw of 47.9 meters (157'2").

The Pointers head to Naperville, Ill. on Friday, May 15 for the Gregory Invitational.
